Default adding nitrous to a s/c 302

i maybe looking to add a small nitrous shot 100hp or less on a s/c 302 that already has somewhere in the 400 to 425 hp range. im wondering if it is ok to add nitrous and if i need to do more mods.

some more info about the motor such as injector size, heads, and all would really help narrow it down. Depending on your injector size you could run a 100 dry shot if your injectors are large enough.

Of course you need more mods, if you have a blower you are probably already at the limit of the stock equipment...you need bigger injectors, throttle body, mass air and fuel pump as a minimum...from there have a tuner chip and tune it..as long as you don't lean it out and do something crazy the stock lower might hold up, start with a 50 shot and dyno it to see what's going on...the biggest problem most Stangs have is not a shortage of power, it's putting the power to the pavement...personally I'd skip the NOS and work on the hook

dont know the injector size but it has a red top. the only thing stock about the engine is the block. im running 410 gears and mickey thompson et street tires. it has a 3500 stall converter. a bbk throttle body. cobra intake with a 1inch wood spacer. dont know about the rest of the bottom end but it has all been rebuilt with good parts.

is this is street car? Or something for the track? Did you rebuild it? do you have a build sheet from the previous owner? I wouldn't believe anything someone said unless there were receipts...a common scam in the used car market is to claim all kinds of upgrades...forged pistons and rods would be required for someone approaching your hp goals

Stock internals are not all that bad. If your tune is right, You will split that block in half before the internals go.

good thing i have a 69351w that im working on.but im very surprised i guess because of all the air rushing across nozzel but it dont feel like a nitrous shot on a na engine.I have ben running fact. tune since last year.I have just purchased the quarterhorse tuner from moates and learning to tune it myself.its not easy.my first time out @ the track i slowed down 1 second and 10 mph.
