Default Electric S/C Opinions Wanted.......

I found an interesting electric supercharger.

The SPC-70 is our flagship model

The top model has a 6.6 hp electric motor and comes with a secondary battery. It can boost 6 to 8 or even more psi.

Time to duct tape that thing in place.

i would guess it is a load of crap, just a glorified leaf blower.

RUN! Far Far away from that and never look at it again.

I mean a real blower can actually take a decent amount of hp to run 80+ sometimes nearing the 500 hp mark (for a top fuel dragster).

So the whopping 6.6hp electric motor just ain't gonna cut it for any real flow.

It might make boost if you dead head the outlet with the throttle body closed lol.

Nah man it sounds cool to me just make sure to get one of those helical throttle body spacers so you can get the full power out of that beast.

No but seriously that thing looks like a sales gimmick no doubt its probably from china or something. Save your money for a real supercharger or in my opinion a turbo. And don't try to save money by getting some knockoff generic one on ebay either cause it'll likely be unbalanced and do this to your motor

Thomas Knight Turbo Electric Supercharger - Tech Review - Turbo Magazine

This is the only real electric power adder, it is far more complex than slapping a fan connected to your battery.
