sn95 with s-trim and 19lb injs. what can i do?

hey guys im looking at a black 95 gt with a vortech s-trim and 19lb injecctors. What's the first thing i could do to add more power... like what would i have to do to drop in 24lb'ers...would that need a new fuel system? also its running 10lbs right now, what should it be making at the wheels and would this be more desireable than a stock 96 cobra?

This would be on my list:

30 pound injectors
190 lph fuel pump
Remove the FMU
Install 12 psi pulley
Get custom chip to calibrate the new injectors.
That will take care of that cobra easily. (all for around $700)

Then probably upgrade the heads, intake and TB (if not done so already).

30 lb injectors, I would get a new mass air meter vice getting a chip to recal the computer for the injectors....with the blower the meter will make a huge differance in power. I would leave the boost where it is now because you dont have forged pistons. You did not say if it had headers or an h/x pipe but if it does not I would have to say that would have to be the next mods I would perform.

hey anybody know what i can expect to pay for a good rebuild of a 5.0? no fancy stuff like forged pistons just basics0 or on second thought, how much extra would forged internals run me?

How many miles does the eng have??...My first mustang, an 88 5.0 supercharged, had 110,000 miles and still ran great. If you do want to end up rebuilding it I would put forged pistons in it when you do. You may just want to get a short block that is already built from someone like D.S.S. (www.dssracing.com). They sell a 306 that has forged pistons that sells for $1499. If you get one built where you live it will all just depend on the machine shops and how much they charge...

its got 88k on it..supercharged since 55k, im in southern california

mine was supercharged from about 45k till the time I sold it at around 110k. As long as it has been taken care of and it has been tuned well it should still have alot of life left in the short block. If you buy it I would just do a compression check on it. If it checks good I would use the money you were going to spend on the short block and use it for more mods!
