Thumbs up Rules for nitrous cobra's

OK I've heard so much hoorah about 96-98 cobras and their "weak" or "built like a tank" engines (depending on who you talk to). I want to squash all the rumors and get everyones opinion on 96-98 cobra motors.

Also,
I purchased a 98 cobra 2 days ago and love it... My question here is, what are the "must have's" for nitrous? I need a list of things to do in order of importance to get 100k out of my cobra while spraying a 100hp shot every weekend or so.

For optimum engine reliability and performance should i have a custom burned chip made?

Thanks in advance guys, I just want to do this right.

How big are your injectors? You might need bigger ones. Then you would need a chip burned. Depending on the size of injector you might be able to run a dry shot on your current setup. If your running a dry shot, then let the computer figure out the fuel curve and timing.

First off you need to figure out what kind of kit you want; wet kit or dry kit. The wet kit sprays both nitrous and fuel into your intake tract. The dry kit sprays just nitrous throught the intake tract and uses your injectors to supply the additional amount of fuel. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. You can ask people what they think about different kits and designs but be prepared for a little arguement as this topic can get very controversial. All the kits are good kits and will work flawlessly given the owner uses them correctly. The first thing to a good kit is safety features. Things like a blow off fitting and tube, fuel pressure safety switch, wide open throttle switch, rpm window switch, purge kit and bottle pressure guage are good for making sure things stay in safe operation. A bottle heater is not needed but sure helps out to keep the pressure at an optimum level. You will soon see that a good kit can cost over 1 grand, but it will be worth it down the road when you still have the original motor. Gotta go but I will explain more later.
