Question Is 9 psi ok? i need more!

Got a question i got the kenne bell 2.1 non-intercooled kit its got 6 psi now and i was wondering if 9 psi would be ok without getting to hot or blowing the engine? the car is not a daily driver,just want a little more lol.thanks for the help

IMO,
Don't go with the 9# pulley until you go intercooled.

The twin screws blower's bypass recirculates and heats the inlet air and you cook the motor when you drive in non boost mode when cruising.

You will just add more heat and heat soak the blower without the intercooler which will add an even greater chance for detonation and BOOM.

I wouldn't go over 6# of boost non intercooled. The added heat created with more boost will cause the ECU to pull timing and you won't get as much power as possible. Detonation will be a constant risk without intercooling especially in hot weather.

Up North, in winter, this would not be an issue, but in 90+ weather it could cause heat soak issues.
