Question 1997 Mustang GT, fmu fuel pump help

okay so here it is. i posted in 4,6 but then saw this later. i have a 97 mustang gt. tons of bolt ons. i also have a vortech v-1. the kit right now is minus the fuel pump and the fmu. i have 39# injectors with the kit. Fuel Management Unit | Vortech Superchargers on this page here its talking about the fmu they sell. it says that the 12 to 1 fmu is the most used for cars running stock equipment. does this mean i can keep the stock injectors and fuel pump or do both need to be upgraded. ive been told that the fuel pump wont need to be upgraded unless im running excessive boost. im planning on 7ish i think thats the pulley i have. so is the 12 to 1 the fmu i should get? use bigger injectors? change fuel pump? im not sure what to do with people telling me mutiple things im confused thanks

The Fuel Pump and Injectors you use really depend on how much power you're trying to make... if you go bigger, you'll be capable of making more power... if you keep the stock, your power will be pretty limited by not getting enough fuel... the 12:1 system is designed for you stock set up... the better the fuel pump, the lower you can go with the FMU pressure... 10:1 or 8:1 etc...

Since your question is whether you NEED to upgrade your stock injectors and fuel pump... I'd think the answer is no...

but if you DO upgrade them, get the 10:1 or lower FMU

Summary: 12:1 fine if you're staying stock injectors/pump with minimum-average boost

10:1 or lower for bigger injectors/pump with average-high boost

hope this helps!
