Default Help a Nitrous Newbie out

OK...I have a Zex kit on its way in the mail and have a couple of questions.
1. How many shots can I expect off of the 75 jet or 100 jet on a 10 lb bottle?
2. Bottle heater is in the near future..will my bottle pressure suffer w/o it in the mean time?
3. Will a window switch work on a zex kit?
4. Two spark plugs are a little loose (little wiggle). Threading on the heads a little stripped. (not my fault...previous owner) Hasn't caused any problems yet but I am worried that the nitrous is going to change that. Is there anything I can do to tighten them up? (pipe threading?.. etc) Or am I going to have to take the car to a machine shop?

Sorry for the retard questions. Hope someone can help me out.

1. Depends on how long you hold it how long it lasts I would guess around 9or10 1/4 mile runs on the 75 and around 6or 7 on the 100hp jets.
2. Bottle heater is a must. Just to keep it consistent pressure around 900psi. However the Zex kit has some sort of controller for the pressure I think haven't used Zex before myself.
3. Window switch will work I would guess. Most people use WOT switch or progressive system around here. I prefer the simple, effective WOT switch. I like to feel the hit so will you. It's addictive in my opinion.
4. Get the (looseness) fixed you can blow the blugs out of the head with nitrous. It creats a lot of cylinder pressure on higher HP jets.

Get a heat range colder plug and take 2 degree of time out for every 50 to 75hp of Nitrous. That is a basic rule of thumb

I run the Zex kit, a bottle heater and pressure gauge are a must. I run a 125 shot and get 3-4 runs off the bottle...meaning good pressure, anything under 900 psi is a waste. The system is set to work on WOT, so when you hold the gas down, you get the fulll shot.
Yes I would be concerened about the plugs...as you don't want any firing problems.
General rule of thumb, take 2 degrees timing out for every 50 shot, and I would run 2 degree cooler plugs.

Thx Julian. Getting new plugs and backing the timing from 15* down to 12* (for the 75 shot). I decided on getting these gauges below. Im a little concerned about the air/fuel gauge. Says I need to hook into my O2 sensor. If Im not mistaken..my O/R H pipe doesn't have any O2 sensors. Gonna have to check that out. Am I missing something here?? LOL Im just full of stupid questions. Anyway..thx again.

The nitrous one is sweet, my firend has the air/fuel.. he seems to trust it and he runs a 125 shot on his 90GT. He did an amazing write up on the intsall of the kit..ZEX INSTALL ..hope you liike it. Moderators, if anyone wants me to ask, maybe we can have this included on our Tech Articles, let me know. He does not work for Zex or any other aaspect of the auto buisness, just a car nut with a sweet stang. good luck.

Here's another consideration. Many factory rev limiters cut the fuel to limit over revving....maybe someone can enlighten us on what years might be affected and how to disable the factory rev limiter.

Leaning out with NOS flowing might get you just ONE run per bottle!
