Default Electric Superchargers

Do some of the 12 volt electric superchargers on Ebay show any horsepower gains? Or are they a worthless restriction?

Well, if you really want an electric supercharger, you could buy:

A Toro leaf blower
An extension cord
A voltage inverter to turn 12V DC into 120V AC (Advance Auto Parts carries these).

Here's how you'd use it:

Cut the long tube off the leaf blower, just leave an inch or two past the motor. Put your air intake hose over the end of the remaining pipe. Plug the leaf blower into the extension cord, plug the extension cord into your voltage inverter. Plug the voltage inverter into your cig. lighter. Turn on the leaf blower.

You instantly have TONS of air flowing into your intake at roughly 300mph...

*I've never actually tried this, but I have seen pics of a ricer who did it. No idea on how well it worked, but I have considered trying it on my dad's Saturn, as it's a great car to drive except for it's serious lack of power (much like a 2.3L Mustang).
