Question What do I need?

I have a 03 GT and would like to supercharge it. Outside from everything that comes with the kits is there anything else I need for the car? Do I have to get forged internals for the engine? Will I need to modify the rear end of the car to handle the additional torque? It seems hard to believe that these companies claim you can just bolt one on and away you go. I just want to make sure I do no damage to the car. Can anybody recommend a kit that would be safe to use for a nearly stock GT? Thanks

Also, it all depends on which blower you are looking for. Some come with fuel injectors, fuel pumps and some don't. Your best bet would be to go with a Paxton, Vortech or Kenne Bell. These kits come with everything you will need to install the kit. Once installed you want to immediately get a custom chip burnt on a dyno( I can't express how important this is.), so like BossLegacy02 said you probably want to do your gears and other mods first to save you the time, hassle and $$$ of getting your chip reburnt everytime you install a mod. Stock internals are probably good for up to 8lbs of boost but if you want to go higher you may want to rebuild your bottom end with some decent forged parts, pick up a Cobra gas tank w/cobra fuel pump, headers of some sort, good intake like a bullitt reichard. Hope that helps. God Bless.
