Default Bottle install go BANG!! ??

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Is it possible to install your bottle in the hatch area without having to drop the gas tank?? If so...are there any tips/ suggestions to help me along? Im tired of having mine in the back seat area. Thanks and happy holidays.

I'm not very good with the fox bodies, but could you put something in between the gas tank and the body while you drill? like a piece of sheet metal, or wood.

If you drill on either side of the spare tire hole you wont hit anything . Just take a look first underneath to be sure .

Thx guys. I'll try to mount the sucker as close to the side as possible. I will be running the line under the car. Are there any openings I can squeeze it through or do I have to drill a hole for that as well?

New here, but I've done this a time or two. Take the bottle with the mounting brackets on it and palce it in the car as stated, to either side(I chose passenger side and then driver side(2 bottles). Set it in place and mark the bracket holes with any kind of marker, then remove the bottle and brackets. Drill through with an 1/8th in bit(worked for me) and get some self-tapping 3/16th screws, 3/4" should do well. Put the brackets back in place and screw it down. Reinstall bottle into brackets. That should complete the job.

There are a few choices from which to choose for both the nitrous line and a blow down tube hose. These are factory holes in the body and are filled with rubber grommets that you can simply push through for instant access.

I would use bolts instead of screws . Just my 2 cents

I think self tappers would work fine. Not like they have any torque on them.

Thx again everyone. Wasn't too hard to complete. I lifted up the carpet and behold.. a rubber grommet perfectly lined up with the bottle. It leads the nitrous line right to the frame rail. Setup looks factory. Almost like Ford knew......Spooky.
