Default Couple Questions, any help wanted

ok, i drive an 88 LX 5.0 with the mods in my sig. i saw the procharger and i liked it. but looking into it more it seems that i need to have a/c. i dont have that. and i was also told that i shouldnt supercharge it on stock compression, but i figured it would be fine cause its a v8 so the compression shouldnt be too high. i wanted to do 9 psi. just enough power for a daily driver. im not worried about gas mileage or n e thing. i just need some input...who has what and what are the pros and cons. and weather or not i should do it with the mods i have. thanks for the help

You can use the kit without the A/C, but you might need to get shorter belt or install an A/C delete pulley.
It will be ok with the mods you have, but might be safe to try larger injectors, these might come with the kit, depending on which one you choose.

what is the max boost the block can handle? i dont plan on doing n e thing too crazy, but i just would like to know what the limits are. the body has 120k on it, and the motor was redone at 90k

A conservative of 10psi is a good number, the thing with forced induction is that it creates HEAT, the more heat the more the internals will suffer. You could get away with more boost by adding extra fuel, better cooling and a very good tuneup.

I wouldnt go past 14 without forged pistons and rods.
