Default Kenne Bell Belt Slippage

Can't stop belt from slipping. I am running a 9 pound pulley and the needle falls off from 9 and bounces around 5-8. This sucks! I want to put an 11 pound pulley on but need to fix this problem first.

I few things can help fix the problem... I new belt, a new tensioner, a larger crank pulley and a larger compressor pulley, or if you have an idler right underneath the compressor, get a larger idler pulley and it will make the belt have a larger surface area to grab onto the pulley.

I have a new belt on it. I've decided to drill a new hole in the snout bracket to move the tensioner up and get a tighter wrap on the pulley

If that doesn't work I'd try a toothed belt

Can you post what you end up doing to fix your belt slip. Mine's slipping as well, I've cranked the KB tensioner pully but no help. I've also thought about some VHT.

This weekend I am going to take my car to my shop and drill and tap a new hole in the snout bracket. I will post how this works for the belt slippage.

BRUIZER94GT

I love the KB. It is awesome. It pulls really hard from Idle until redline in every gear. I am currently making over 425rwh. I smoked my stock clutch. Am going to put in a Spec stage 2 or 3. Not sure wich one yet. Any questions about the KB just email me.

Looking at the picture and reading the description doesn't say anything about stopping belt slip so I don't understand what you mean.

That's what I did on my KB- it helped a little, but it still slips a lot. I am looking at getting a bigger crank pulley, so I can get a larger blower pulley to help get more contact area.

Also, if both of those don't work, I have a friend with a KB who dremmeled a couple of slots laterally on the pulley to help trapped air between the pully and the belt escape, allowing for maximum contact.
