Yeah, it'll work. Lot's of early turbo cars used carbs. There's two ways to go. You can either use a blow through setup, where the turbo blows air into the carb, or you can use a suck though, where the carb sits on the turbo inlet and the turbo sucks air through the carb. The blow through is a better way to go. You get better fuel atomization. You'll really only need two specialized parts. A carb that can handle positive pressure, which you can modify a standard Holley 4150 with little problems. You'll also need a carb enclosure or elbow to direct the compressed air into the carb.
The key to making it run right is all in the tuning. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IT DYNO TUNED BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING! Otherwise you're going to have a very expensive hunk-o-crap on your hands.
