help with cold air kit

Hello all I'm new to this forum and looking to learn a lot from all of you here. I have a 95 GT and just recently put on a cold air kit, it's a fenderwell system and I have noticed that at certain times the engine will shutter, if I let off or apply more gas it will stop but if I hold it there it will keep doing it. I was wondering if the mass air meter needs to be recalibrated. thanks for your time and help. take care

The MAF maybe catched some oil from the Filter, you can clean it up using a QTip and some isopropyl alcohol.

Pay attention, make sure your car isn't running lean. I have a 91 GT with either a MAC or BBK CAI kit. I was driving down the road a few days ago and went to smash it, I hear popping coming from the intake.. which makes me believe that 90 degree bend is playing tricks on my MAF causing the car to run lean. Here soon I'm going to take that junk off, sure it looks good under the hood and all.. but my motor means more to me.
