For a while it is going to be a little tuff to mod the 05 V6. Not a big aftermarket out there for it. It took a long time to build the 3.8 aftermarket up.
As for modding it I would start with smaller things and work your way up. Do exhaust but by all means go with a dual set up instead of single. See what a local exhaust shop could do for you with a dual set up with the mufflers of your choice, I like flowmasters but that's just me. It is just as good as any catback set up that you will find for the 6er that is out there and will be cheaper as well. I would toss some 3.73 or 4.10 gears with a T-loc on your list as well. As for a chip I wouldn't go with anything other than an ACT product. Very good quality. If you are looking for a power adder your going to have to choose one from the list you gave. I like nitrous. It's cheap power, no where else can you get a 100 extra ponies for around $500-600. Turbos are way cool, but no companies make kits for the v6. There are guys building the kits though and are getting very good hp numbers out of them. They are pretty pricey to build as well.
