Wink Powerdyne BD11a -- who actually owns one & has some dyno numbers?

Looking for some actual HP & TQ numbers and/or actual track times for the Powerdyne BD11a. I've heard all the stories about belts breaking at higher boost levels, get a Vortech instead, yadayada, etc... What I'm looking for are some actual owners to chime in please.

Even if you don't have numbers but you own a BD11a, I'd like to hear your experience.

Thanks!!! <!-- / message -->

I responded to your PM with my Powerdyne numbers. One thing I didn't mention was I ran at the track once with my 6lb set-up, prior to the crank pulley and powerpipe. On street tires, I couldn't hook up and only ran a 13.4@111.7 (380rwhp/360rwtq SAE) with that set-up. I ran two years without a problem with the belt driven BD-11A. Just remember though, the BD-11A is only an 850cfm blower compared to 1000cfm for the Vortech S-trim or 1200cfm for the gear driven Powerdyne XB-1. The BD-11A has limited growth potential and some don't last very long. Mine was great but I can't say that for all of them. I also didn't beat on mine or race it every weekend so that probably helped. The XB-1 would have lasted longer than the engine, same sort of drive as the gear driven blowers.

Thank you very much for your reply, I really appreciate it. Your numbers are very helpful. I am trying to figure out how much power I will get on a stock 302 with 9# BD11a but I also just want to see what these PD's can do in general & how guys (that actually run them) like or dislike them.

I am hoping for 320RWHP with just the blower. I am running no accessories (only water pump & alternator). If I hit 300RWHP I'll be satisfied. under that & I'll be a little disappointed.

Thanks again for your input!!

Anyone else got some numbers & or experience with these?

I have no dyno #'s just times. My car has only the 9lb Powerdyne, full exhaust, and 70mm Cobra maf for mods. All else is stock. I ran a 12.77@111.14 with a 1.90 60ft time. No tuning and in a full weight 93 GT that is just under 3500lbs race weight. With slicks I know I could have done way better. I was seeing about 7lbs or so at the track but I shift low..around 5400rpm's.
