Default forced induction for a 302 enigne.

I have a little problem. the thing is that i think my car is the only mustang GT where i live (Israel) with a 302 enigne and manual transmisson.

recently i decided it's time to modify it heavily, and i though about doing it with forced induction.
After much time on the net i found many kits with many promises
from 300 to about 1600+ HP for the 302 engine.

My question is this. if price is not an issue what is the best way to get more power out of the 302 (supercharger, single/twin turbo)?

and how much power gain can i expect to see? are there really kits that can get you to over 700HP withougt blowing up the enigne?

Thanks,
RoadRage

twin turbo is the way to go if you have some money to spend. otherwise superchargers are so popular cause there alot cheaper than turbos. make sure your shortblock is prepped for this new power.

I would aim for 600 HP, and get a stud girdle

do not aim for over 600 with a production 2 bolt block, it will come apart, you will need a stud girdle, and forged pistons. it would be easier to hit 700 with a 351 block stroked

A sportsman block with a girdle should be able to hanlde 700 hp too. The only thing you should prep a stock block for with 600+ hp is the junkyard. I can tell you that from first hand experience. It will split, it's just a matter of when.
