Default Turbo VS Super

Regardless of price which would be better for my 05 GT

My PERSONAL choice would be a turbo set up........lot's of torque, lot's of horsepower.........you get both with supercharger's, but i feel you get just a bit more with turbo's.........

I would go with a Posative displacement supercharger.(Roots or Screw). My personal prefference would be The Twin Screw setups from Kenne Bell or Whipple. Screw types offer good low end right of idle, unlike a turbo where you have to wait till mid RPMs to see any power and you also get almost as good peak power to upper RPMs. The Whipple is out and runs for around 5500 and the Kenne Bell is not out yet but should run for about the same.

neither one will give your mustang dual heated leather 8-way power seats, or heated mirrors, or a one-touch drivers window, or self-sealing tires, or dual automatic front climate control, or a 16 cu. ft. trunk, or enough legroom in the backseat for more than a midget amputee.

the charger and the mustang are completely different vehicles, and i would hope you are the only one here who is too juvenile to understand that. the mustang's priorities lie in performance, while the charger, which is a foot longer and half a ton heavier, has its priorities on the luxury side of things.

(to everyone wondering what's going on: this kid registered at a charger website and made the following post: )

Both are awesome but turbo can give you better gas mileage & will come up on full boost faster then a blower. Some turbos are at full boost by 2500rpm; mine are at full boost ~3000rpm.

Depends also on what kind of driving your doing.

Every day driver, or weekend racer? Blowers are a more reliable route, IMO.

heywupis13, are you talking about www.chargerforums.com?
