Default Dyno tune?

I called about getting my 95 gt mustang dyno tuned and they said to dyno tune a 95 would be pointless because of the computer they said it wouldnt make any difference, has anyone ever been told this? Anyways they said to stop the pinging I should get a colder spark plug and reset the timing. My question is what is a good plug for a supercharged application? I have a Powerdyne 9 psi. I would appreciate any info.

Use a NGK UR5 plug (one step colder then stock gapped at .035). Of course dyno tuning would help. You should pick up a MSD BTM box, install that, and have it tuned with that on the dyno. You should already have an FMU... That's should be about all you need if your fuel system is setup right. Don't detonate that motor too much. 5.0's blow head gaskets easy.

You need to find a dyno that can burn custom chips. That would be the best way to tune it. Fmu's never seem to get the fuel curve correct throughout the entire range. They are usually too rich in one area and too lean in another.

I would stay away from that place as they probably wouldn't do you any good. If you have an fmu and are having problems with your a/f ratio, you might try to pick up a procharger adjustable fmu. Very easy to adjust and my a/f is straight as an arrow.

thanks for the info! I ordered the plugs but for the MSD 6 BTM where would be a good place to buy it? The best price i've seen is 390 ish. Oh and I already have a FMU.
