I'm really considering dropping in a supercharger, but not a vortech or anything. On ebay a new Eaton supercharger with an intercooler for Thunderbird SC's went for $260!!!! There are many others going in this price range, but this one went for particularly low. There seems to be all sorts of superchargers, but a vortech will run me a lot more than 260, lol. Will SC superchargers fit in my '99 automatic stang? Thanks for the help.
I'd worry about head gaskets and your crank. I'm told the T-Bird sc is hard on mustang parts. I could be wrong, though . ..

It can be made to work, but you will need to upgrade the fuel system and EEC. Will be safe with around 6-7 psi of boost using the stock pulley that came with the TBrid SC Eaton M90 supercharger.
Now, how to mount it is a diferent story, you could use the TBIRD manifold which might require modifications, or device a custom made setup.
I think I'll get someone else to install it for me. If I were buying a Vortech or the like I would probably do it myself, because it is designed for my car. With this I'm afraid that if I did one thing wrong, it could lead to a lot of problems. I'll probably just let the shop take care of it for me. What all do I need to change, just in general, when adding a supercharger? I've heard that I would need to change my read axle to an 8.8 which is no big deal, I can pick one up for next to nothing off a gt, but what else? Thanks!!!
