Has any one heard or done 5.4 or cobra swap for your 96gt. i have over a hundred thousand mile on the car and want to know if theres anything better then rebuilding the moter. eventually i would like to super charge. just looking to gain lots of horse power. any ideas????

You could put in a 5.4 but it would take some modifications. It's a medium-hard swap. A cobra engine should go in pretty easy (i think) since you will be pustting in an engine of the same size.

I know this is taboo -- but at heart, I'm a carb guy.

No computer bullshit -- all mechanical; easy as pie to work with and simple to turbocharge -- I've built over 50 turbo-carb setups and let me tell you -- they are all smooth as butter and simple to tune.

Granted you could stick w/ modular and make good power but meh -- I'm a pushrod man at heart.
