Question about using focus fuel pump I just installed a Procharger supercharger with a 10lb pulley,a 3 core intercooler kit,42lb injectors and a focus fuel pump on my 2001 Mustang GT. When I put it on the dyno, it had a good 40lbs of fuel pressure all the way up until about 5000 rpms. After 5000 rpms, the fuel pressure dropped off sharply. My tuner says that I am definately running out of fuel pump. I thought that the focus fuel pump was good for 400HP. The car only put down 348rwhp and 362rwtq (granted, we stopped the test at about 5500 rpms).
When you installed the focus fuel pump, did you have to drill out the hole in the bottom of the cup, or did you just drop in the pump and go. I'm wondering if the pump is sucking the cup dry. |
