Default Paxton novi 1000 tested with my boost gauge

Hey guys...Just got my boost gauge in and took my car for a spin with the gauge hooked into the vacuum tee...at just under 4k rpms I was making 4 lbs of boost...I thought that was pretty good...Scared to take it any further until all my tuning work is done...Just thought I'd share...

Jason - I plan on doing pretty much the same thing as you. Install the s/c myself and then "Grandma it" to the tuner.

-Very smart of you.
Let us know how it comes out.

Is this a safe procedure?? I mean, you just invested all that money into your car... hrmm..

I would probably 'grandma' my car to a tuner aswell... cause im planning to do the exact same thing.
Install the S/C, 42lb injectors, and a new 90mm SCT mass-air, but I honestly dont even think the car would start with that many major mods done to it at once..

Opinions??

I would also have to drive the car limping for about 3hours to the nearest dyno facility...

do you already have the 90mm? that seems awful big for that setup. a 73mm flows 700cfm and the 76mm (which I wet to from the 73) flows 800cfm. seems like the 90 would be over kill.
