Default "Roots-Type" blower 4.6 3-valve

I am new to this board. I am thinking of getting an 06' GT and was wondering what "Roots-Type" superchargers there are. I really want a "Roots-Type" for the bottom end torque. This will influence my decision on getting a GT. Thanks for all the help.

Default Kenne Bell

(Just) installed a Kenne Bell 9 PSI Intercooled on an otherwise stock 04 GT convert. Sub frame connectors, boost and fuel press gauges only other mods. KB claims not much HP gain with exaust mods on the '04. Brakes probably next. Under normal conditions, you never even get into the boost, 10 to 20 inches vacuum pretty standard. Drives like an 260 hp GT, but quieter, (the plastic PI manafold is replaced by a massive hunk of aluminum) Wouldn't even know you have access (claimed, yet to be dyno-ed) to 427 lbs and 405 HP. At about 2000 RPM WOT hits 7 PSI, at 6000 RPM WOT is a little over 10 PSI. Awesome acceleration from 2500 to Redline, Torque curve flat as Nebraska. More expensive then the hair dryers, however, kit close to 5 grand $$.

I just had my kt installed, dyno sheets are in my gallery if you care to look at them and see exactly what the twin screw can do. The blower itself is amazingly quiet. You can't hear it at idle. When the boost builds though, there's no mistaking what's under there.

I have the United Technologies/Holley/Magnuson twin screw that Ford offered with the Lightenings. Less HP but more LBS than centrifigals. Less initial cost and maintenance too. Be aware (we need more wares) that you should consider performance PROM flashing, induction, intake, injection and exhaust. Intercooling is a must. Anything over 9 PSI and the OEM heads WILL CRASH & BURN! Mine did on the last turn the last heat at the last race last year.
