Default Changing Vortech Pulleys

When changing to a 12-15 psi pulley on a Vortech S-Trim, do you need a shorter belt? Also, when changing to the smaller pulley, my tensioner pulley rubs on a bracket bolt. Can I just shim it with a washer? Thanks for all help.

Yes. You need a shorter belt. The tensioner might not rub with the smaller belt.

I assume that you went to a smaller blower pulley instead of a larger crank pulley? If so, you will get some belt slip no matter what you do. If you want the best performance, get a bigger crank pulley (8 inch) from ASP Racing and keep the 3.33 inch upper. I had real issues with the belt slipping on the 2.75 inch blower pulley.

Truuble, does the 8 inch crank pulley give the same psi increase as a stock blower pulley change to a 2.75? This is a great idea! because if you pull the stock pulley off of the Vortech you will void the warrenty. My SQ trim has a 3 year warrenty, and I wasn't changing my pulley for that reason. Thanks!
