Default Auto Meter Boost Guage Problem

Heya,

During my AFM PowerPipe install/pully change my mechanic noticed my boost guage was only showing 10-11 PSI vacuum. We tested it manually a few places and got 17PSI vacuum in all of them. The tube is in good and no leaks at the meter coupling. I only worry because I went to a smaller pully (3.60" from 3.85" which comes stock on 8PSI Procharger kit) because it seemed like I could never see more than 5-6 PSI boost. If my boost guage is off by 4-5PSI, Could I possibly be seeing 12-14PSI now while it is showing 8-10? The guage does zero out when off. Anyone else seen this/have suggestions? Any help much appreciated.

Default Still need help

Hopefully someone sees this and has an idea for me. After the original post, I took out the gauge, trimmed the plastic hose straight and flat (there was evidence it had been kinked before). Reassembled but same reading. Still about 4-5lbs of vacuum missing so still not sure how much boost I'm seeing. At 6K it's showing 9-10 depending on time of the day and heat. Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like a leak if your low on both vac and boost. If you tested manually with another gauge, maybe yours is faulty. Where are you connecting into the intake at? Have you checked to see if your BPV is leaking?
