Default 02 GT Procharger Hesitation

I took the car out for a test spin today (not a long one since the fan is not working) and I felt a big hesitation when going WOT in 2nd gear. Once I hit around 4500 RPMs it would begin to pull. The hesitation was not as noticable in 3rd, but still there. I pulled one of the plugs the other day because I had started the car a few times before the tune was installed. The plug was covered in black deposits but wiped off clean with a rag. Could this be the source of my problem? If so, should I pull all the plugs and clean them or just replace them? The plugs are NGK TR6's gapped at .032. Could it be the tune from RPM Outlet instead? Hopefully I can get into the shop this weekend for a custom tune. I can't wait to get this thing back on the road. Thanks in advance!

Yeah man, pull 'em all and check them over. And I'm sure RPMoutlet's tune is decent, but get it in for a good custom tune as soon as you get the chance.

yea man i bought my kit from them too and i didnt even want the chip that comes with it so i saved 200 bucks. Their tune is really only designed for u to drive it to a dyno shop without getting on it so id be careful getting on it like that without a proper dyno tune.

I'll pull the plugs and clean them up and see what happens, I may even close the gap up to .030. The only reason I opted for their tune was because they now offer the SCT tuner which is what my shop uses. RPM Outlet said that SCT actually goes over the tune to make sure its correct, but I guess you just can't tune without the real world data that a dyno provides. I had a Predator tune on my car before, but nobody tunes with them around here, so I'll just sell it. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about closing the gap, .032-.038 or so is fine on a mildly boosted engine.

I talked to the shop yesterday to set a date for my tune. I'll drop it off July 11th and should have it back on the 13th.

Anyways, I told him about the plugs and he said they are shot and need to be replaced. He also said they will go through 2-3 sets of plugs during a tuning session.

2-3 sets during a tuning session?? Dude you really need to find somewhere else to get your car tuned if they foul plugs out like that. I only bought one set when I had mine tuned and Brent never said a word about needing more. Sounds to me like these guys are clowns and don't really know what they're doing.
