Anyone Install a Hellion Turbo Kit yet? Thinking about getting this and wanted to know if anyone has installed it. What kind of numbers did you get on the Dyno and at what boost? How much was install cost? Did you get anything extra like cold plugs or MAF extender etc...
I have seen a few guys do one. They are very happy.
I would never buy any Power adder kit without it being complete incl, instruction, MAF, injectors, fuel pump upgrades, handheld tuner, pre set tunes, plugs(if reqd-usually for higher boost levels), belts, etc.
Do you want low rpm torgue(ala twin screw) or higher rpm torque(ala turbo and centrifugal)?

This is a stretch but interesting nonetheless. I was watching a Pirate/Cub baseball game a couple days ago and Danica Patrick was a guest in the announcer's booth. They asked her what her first car was. Her answer: a 96 Cobra that her dad bought her when she was 16. She'd already decided she wanted to become a race driver but had never driven a manual transmission, so her dad figured that would be a good place to start.
I was looking for efficiency, driveability and logevity with my choice. My wife is going to be driving the car as well. So under normal driving conditions I dont want to be in boost. The turbos get into full boost around 3k. They have no parisitic drag which makes them more efficient and they get better fuel economy. Besides from what I've seen they produce much more power at the same amout of boost comapred to any of the S/C regarless of which style you go with.
Yeah I woudlnt buy a kit that isn't pretty much complete. Most of the turbo kits out there don't have a tuner but they do require you to get it dynoed tuned. I've found a good installer and going to take it to him once I order the kit. Do you know what type of RWHP there getting at what boost? I'm curious to see DYNO's of the Turbos. I don't really belive what the companies post on thier website and all thier marketing hype.

I have already sprung for LT headers so, I will go with twin screw although I have not totally closed the door on Turbos yet.
PH, Granatelli, STS, Hellion(460RWHP @ 8psi), Turbo Tech, HP, MMR to name a few. You need to research em all to make an informed decision. Single or twins?
RWHP is a matter of boost. Better to focus on customer support and TUNE. A bad tune will blow yr motor fatser than you can imagine.
Good luck.

I agree on the tune? I've got one of the best tunners in Atlanta going to do the install and dyno tune for me. I called SCT and they said MPH and all the research I've found MPH is the best shop. I was going to go with 8 to 9# on a completely stock car. And I want to make sure I have a conservative tune. I'm going with a single the twins even though they may spool up faster and produce more power at the same boost level. I really don't want he car to spool up under 3k as I want to conserve as much as normal driving conditions as possible. I just want to know when i step on it I'm going to move and move quicly. I'll probablly add lower and upper control arms and relocation kit and then go with some 17x10's billit wheels and put some 295x40x17 and that's going to be in for me.

4:10's installed now but now new numbers.
The Hellion kit offers no tuner and no BAP with their kit. Another item to worry about is some of their piping runs below the a-arms which concerns me. Like previously stated do research and you will find what you want.
Hey,
I couldnt agree more. If you look at the Hellion webiste you can see some of the piping hanging down infront of the front facia. This is scary. My driveway is very steep and it's a big concern for me. I've changed my mind about the hellion kit and really considering the PH kit. It seems to be the most complete kit out there. What have you concluded? I've got a totally stock car and I"m probablly going to go with the PH kit.
