Default necessities for nitrous

OK, here we go. I would like to hear everything I need to do when installing a DRY nitrous system on my relatively stock 02 GT. This is what I have heard so far...... Inject the shot BEFORE the MAF sensor so the computer will pick it up and bump up the fuel, install 1 step colder plugs, install 24# injectors. I'm looking at the ZEX set up and it says that the "Active Fuel Control" module will monitor bottle pressure and automatically adjust the fuel so it doesn't run lean or rich. What changes will I need to make with my XCal2? Would like to hear from anyone with a 2V 4.6 with a DRY nitrous system.

There's no need to inject the shot before the MAF, the ECU assumes it's air which is incorrect. Typical atmosphere contains ~19% Oxygen. N2O is 33% Oxygen...see where this is going? Even if the ECU were to bump the fuel, it wouldn't be enough. That's why tuning is key with a N2O setup. Second you need a Fuel Pressure Safety Switch, Window Switch and bottle warmer. You need to drop a heat range in spark plugs for 50-75 shot and 2 heat ranges for 100+ shots. Also get a 180F thermostat and put it in. There shouldn't be a need for 24lbm injectors unless you're going crazy with over a 150 shot. If you do that, I'd go ahead and invest in one of those Typhoon manifolds that are all metal so when you get a N2O backfire, maybe, just maybe your intake won't blow up.

Most importantly GET IT TUNED BEFORE HITTING THE JUICE!!!!
