Question Need Help with twin turbos

I got my hands on two turbos (TD04) from my body. I don't know enough about them so I need your fellows Mustanger's help.
1) Can I use these turbos on my set up?
2) How easy or hard will it be to use those turbos and Intercoolers on my set up?
3) How much boost can I expect from them?
4) Would I need to change the stock computer?
5) Does anybody know of a shop in North County that can help w/installation?
6) What would you recommend?

Thanks for all your future input and for your help.

1: Yes
2: Custom everything, but time and patience will make it work.
3: 9 - 12 lb's depending on setup and overspin.
4: Custom burned chip to allow it to run at its best.
5: sorry but no
6: 42# injectors, 90mm mass air from Lightning, Intercooler from Powerstroke, Wrap everything with Thermotec, Boost gause, Air fuel ratio gauge.

Check out my buddy's car if you are considering doing this.

Cold and snowy , how about CA?
The output depends on the turbo size A/R ratio. A .84 will spin up quicker but be down on top end boost output. A larger ratio, .63 will spin up slower but produce more top end boost. The wastegate will also control the amount of boost. The actual boost to the gate can be bled off, fooling it into thinking it is at a lower boost rate, causing it to overspin.

Reverse that then you'll be telling the truth.

Jarrett;
The weather in CA is overcast today. The TD04 are from a Mitsu 3000 GT, and I don't know A/R ratio. Is that somthing I can measure with a micrometer or a calliper?
P.S Thanks for the help!

On most, the A/R # is cast into the turbine housing (exhaust side) .

Thanks for all your replies.

Yeah, that is true for most Garret turbos, but he's not dealing with Garrets. Mitsubishi turbo units are just that, Mitsubishi units.

Like Alex is saying, those are Mitsubishi units. Your probably looking at Mitsubishi manufacturing numbers.

I'm a little concerned, these turbos are designed for a twin 6cyl application. They maybe to small for a 5.0. I would talk to some people that have modified some of these 3000 GT's. They may know the size of the compressor/turbine combo.

If I can find the time, I will try to find some info on them.

Turbos are a very popular way of adding power and as you know they put out quiet a bit of heat as they compress the air etc. You may want to rap your pipes in some heat shield raps. These will protect wires that might not be touching the pipes but could still melt from the heat put off, sometimes even starting engine fires. The raps may not look as good as the finish on the turbos but they will help keep the rest of your engine bay cool... of course a cooler engine means more hp and better performance. Good luck and post some pics when you finish... sounds like a good project
