Default Seriously considering ProCharger

I want to know everything about these blowers. What I need to do in preparation, what to watch out for, what the upkeep is. I am seriously considering a blower this winter for my car. I dont have the money to upgrade internals or any heavy work like that. What is the best bang for my buck when it comes to a blower? is the procharge any good?

Fill me in guys. I need to know about this stuff now.

Go with a roots type blower for the street, they are making incredible gains with good drivability and reliability. It seems a lot of guys are recommending kenne bell, I have seen really good things about the Saleen too.

I was considering procharger also. But The price of the kit I want compared to buying a nitrous kit is dramatic. But you have to consider the pros and cons. I can get a N.O.S. dry kit for $700 adjustable from 75-150 hp. But I want the power to be there all the time... But $4300 (I got one of their packets too) plus injectors (Kit does not include injectors look closely $500) and all the other little crap you need. I'm unsure if I wanna spend the xtra cash. But I don't really feel like filling a bottle all the time too. I've heard ATI Prochargers are awesome. Just hard to install.

Default GO WITH A VORTECH!!!!

I have a 95 Cobra that I put an S-trim on and it is maintenence free and was not that bad of an install. Don't be afraid of putting a hole in the oil pan because its really not that bad with all the stuff they give you. Ive had it on there for 2 years and added a Powerpipe and it pulls 14 lbs. with the Powerpipe or 8-10 without and it rips. My friend had a ton of probs on his 93 GT with a Procharger. Too many to list. Anyway, Vortech is what saleen and Steeda have trusted for years! Later, and good luck either way you go.

I have a D1-SC Procharger in my 94 cobra. Didn't touch anything internally. Complete exhaust, fuel system, and blower.....I made 420 at the wheels.

I just installed a 10psi 3 core intercooler on my stang about two weeks ago. The kit I got comes with 62lb injectors, 255 fuel pump, charger, intercooler and plumbing. To let you know in advance, your going to have to get a better Mass sensor (90mm lightning). I was also warned by my tunner that the fuel pump the kit comes with is not very good at all. He told me to get a Kenne Bell Boost a pump instead. Also, the tune that comes with the kit is way off. My stang wouldn't even run with that tune. I had to take my SCT programmer to my tunner to even get my stang to the shop to get dyno tunned. After months of waiting I finally have everything installed. She dyno'd at 351 at 12psi of boost.
