Question How hard is it to pull out a Mustang 8'' rear end?

I have a mustang || with a 8'' rear end under it how hard would it be to pull the rear end out???? An could i mess nething up while doin it ive never took a ford apart. Im gone have somebody else replace tha gears that i have for it.But i think all u have to do is pull the axles out a then just drop out tha rear end is that rite??????? nemore imfo???????

pull the differential cover off, spin the gear carrier around and pull out the 8mm bolt out, which will free up the pin and slide it out, then push in on your axle shafts and you can remove the horseshoe cilps and the shafts will slide out.

Well mine has a front chuck not the rear cover. the hole thing comes out tha front of tha rear end. Is it real hard to take out??

All you have to do is pull the rear brake drums off ,remove the four bolts on each side that hold the axles in place,slide the axles out about 12 inches and then just remove the nuts and washers that hold in your gear chunk and that's it. Of course you have to disconnect the drive shaft. I would replace the axle shaft seals if they have some miles on them and don't forget to put the copper washers back on when you button the gear chunk back up because they help to seal the studs from leaking gear lube and don't over torque the U-bolts that hold the driveshaft universal joints to the yoke or else you'll distort the caps on the universal joint.
