and with the install of a supercharger i should get a computer tune right
The KB came with a "canned tune" and when checked with computer was fine (perfect?). You fill out a questioneer about what mods, auto or manual, rear gear, computer ##, etc you have and KB sends out a chip with the kit. If you change mods, you send the chip back (W/$200.00, ugh!) and KB re-flashes.

i dnt knw what supercharger to go with. I'm torn between a kennebell, a vortech, and procharger and i have a 2004 automatic mustang gt and i'm saving for a supercharger so the only mods ive done is my exhaust ive had my car 2 months
Do not get a Kenney bell. They suck. They are over priced and have crappy numbers compared to what you can get with a Vortech or Procharger.
Don't waste your money.....!!!
Go look at a Shean Hyand motorsports Catalog and look at the 5 motors for 4.6's that come with Kenney bells........the highest HP they can get is 500...for $18,0000 dolars!!
Now if they had used a Vortech/Procharger/ etc... those #'s would be much higher and the price would be half......mabey...it's SHM......
People will argue till their blue about how "great" a KB is, but frankly I am not impressed at all and the price is rediculous. Maintence is a nightmare also on KB's.
Look at how the oil is changed.
BTW....a Scharger will get you 100-125 more HP stock. But stock you will burn up your motor quickly.......I would get some internals also if you can.
Lots of shops are now shying away from the KB (reputable shops not out to sell you expensive crap you really don't need).
Most say go with a regular Scharger.
The KB is nice looking and all, but not impressive for the price. You could in theory get a Vortech Scharger with aftercooler, Ported heads and an intake for the same price as a KB "ALONE" and get 200 more HP out of your motor than just with a KB..........think about that....
Holy moly, bat man. Been running one for almost a year, maintnance is 1 oil change every 12,000 or once a year, Ames in the block is 1 oil change every 25,000 miles or once a year. You call that too much maintinance? Gobs of torque in the low power band ideal for stock internals, can you say that about Centrifugicals? Very complete kit out the door <$6,000, where do you get $18,000 at? Oh, that must be for the whole motor...

Take it from a ex-Procharger guy, get a KB. My GT was fast no doubt, but it was lacking down low and that was with 4.10's out back! Markiwondi ain't kidding about the hidden costs, and when you start getting greedy is gets worse (and you WILL get greedy). If you think you will be content with the basic KB kit, go for it. At the very least, put it on a dyno with the canned tune. If it checks out then your good to go, however I would suggest a couple gauges to keep an eye on things, such as fuel pressure and A/F ratio. A boost gauge isn't a necessity, but still good to have.
Hey Blueoval, I thought your car was finished a while ago???
no I waited almost two months on manley to cut my pistons like they said they could. Then sent them and they said they needed my engine builder to mark them up first, then never sent them back and was waiting on another builder to send them in some marked pistons. Just got them back uncut last thursday, so my shop is doing the markings and cutting on them. My car has been down since last march.

yea i was really torn between the kenne bell and the vortech but i think im gonna go with the kenne bell but i want my exhaust louder i have flowmasters and im doin the midpipe now what else can give me a good growl and with the install of a supercharger i should get a computer tune right
In reguards to the exhaust a good x pipe sounds a'lil raspy at times but mean. especially from 2-3000rpms. I have a bassani x pipe with 40 series flowmasters and just got 3.5" rolled tips which made it even louder. I suggest the tips and mid pipe. And as far as the tranny goes... you will get more power to the ground thru a 5 speed, or 6 speed (Tko/T56) but a built auto will get it done with the proper converter. Thats just my two cents...

Have you considered the Turbo option? Postive displacement blowers (like a KB) rob a substantial amount of HP so your net gain is lower. Centifugals like a Vortech, Paxton, ATI are belt driven and also have a loss. A Turbo however is the ideal tool. It requires no HP to operate so you gain 100%. You will see some lag, but nothing to worry about if done right.
Positive displacement blowers are very hard on an engine. They are on NOW. Full boost, lots of torque, lots of tire spin. Centrifugals are a bit easier because they need to spool up and gain power with RPM. Same with a turbo, and Turbo costs have dropped like a rock. Lots of players on the market, although they alluse pretty much the same head units. Garrett, Greddy, Turbonetics. Alllong proven manufacturers.
