Before anything, you'll want to get a new converter for that trans. The stock convertes tend to balloon with the addition of nitrous.

Triangle Racing in Texas, and BC Automotive are my top choices.

after doing what mark suggested. I would go with the KB because of all the tq down low they make. But I went with a procharger because of the money. If you have a different rear gear then a procharger would make good power also.

KB all the way - its a good kit and I like twin screw blowers more than centrifugal!

Actually on my 04 the engine is quieter with the KB. exaust about the same until you romp on it, then a little louder. Hear a little jet whine, not much at all. Up to 9PSI I/C OK on stock internals. Kenne Bell all the way!

sorry, i meant to type "power adder" rather than just nitrous when i was talking abou the balooning. I must have had nitrous on my mind when i wrote that.

I do not suggest getting a supercharger or any power adder if you'll be broke afterwards. Power adders WILL blow our stock engines, some people can go for years, other people days. Also, power adders always have the hidden or suprise costs most don't see. Please have a backup plan in case.

I say if your working with a budget then I would not go with a KB. A procharger will be around $1200 cheaper. You are going to need trans work and a good tune around $500. And yes you can build your car later just stay with low boost around 8-10 psi and a good air/fuel ratio. I would almost go with a good 5-speed instead of beefing up your auto/converter.

That whole part about how power adders WILL blow our stock engines got me a lil nervous due to ur rep. of being very knowledgeable. i was planing on gettin a procharger n running 8psi on my stock motor w. 45k miles. Im a college student who drives aprx 30 miles round trip to school everyday. Do u think me geting a S/C is a bad idea?

I know you are wanting an answer from markwondi, but hurting your engine is based on your tune more then the hp/boost. Keeping the hp around 380-400 rwhp and a good safe tune should be ok on your cars bottom end. But people's driving can hurt even the safest tune. Missed gears, reving to high, or not taking care of your car will always take years/miles from it.

Cant give you any info on the procharger, engine getting put together now. But the spec clutch I really like. Their is no play in the stage III which makes it hard to be really smooth with it. Know a lot of people with them and like them. Just from what I have been told. Dont use the throw out bearing it comes with, use a factory ford one.
