Question Does the Vortech Tuner Kit come with intake tubing?

tuner kit question

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there a definitive answerer to whether a vortech tuner kit comes with the intake tubing ? Some people say yes, and some say no. Does it just matter on where you get it ? I have actually only seen a few nos, but it seems to be a mystery.
I already have 39# injectors
LMAF
Focus pump
Predator
So it seems that I may be set, I hope

I guess if it does not , I can just do a DIY power pipe.

Default Kit

You might want to go "a la carte" instead of buying a kit if you've already got most of the other parts.

The advantage of the kit is that all the parts are chosen to mix well (not all aftermarket parts play well with others).

As for the intake pipe, most kits do include this - but indeed, some are broken up by the seller and made into "options" to enable them to advertise a loss-leader low price for the "kit".

Sort of like a dealer making wheels and tires "options" on a new car - legal in some places, but hardly ethical, and yes, its something you really SHOULD have (unless you just want to run around town with the new car sitting on a flat-bed trailer).

If the other parts you have WILL mesh well with the size and brand supercharger you want to buy, just look for the seperate items (or negotiate with the seller - some will knock down the price if they can eliminate expensive items from the kit).

If your car already has extensive mods (CAI, underdrive pulleys, etc.) you may have to get rid of those mods and return the car to the original parts in order to make the supercharger work properly.

I found it cheaper to go with the tuner kit, and get the other fuel and tuning parts separately. I had the tuner, and then bought the MAF, injectors etc.
I did have to put the stock pulleys back on, and I may try to us my intake tube as a power pipe.
Basically I am doing kind of what you said, the al-a-carte method.
I just hope it does not back fire on me. I did research what worked best for the price.

Visit the VorTech web site and see what spark plugs (etc) they recommend for your application. Tuning after installation will be absolutely ESSENTIAL. Just having the Diablo (I have one too) won't get you the custome tune you need. Contact Granatelli or VorTech to see about downloading a tune for your car. Even if you do this, you will be well-advised to get the car on a dyno with an experienced tech familiar with supercharged Mustangs to check you out. Detonation and running lean are common problems.

Default "Al Qaeda wants Obama"

Looks like Ted Kennedy isn't the only one confusing Obama with Osama.

http://enews.earthlink.net/article/p...02111338023776

Australia's PM sees Obama's "deadline" as a mistake - the enemy will just hang on until the coalition goes away, and this is NOT the time to be feeding morale-boosting headlines to the enemy.

Seems logical, though I, too, feel like a phased withdrawal to coincide with increased Iraqi independence must take place.

But making a "date certain" part of the equation is a major strategic mistake. This is the first (probably of many) such mistakes political newbie Obama is likely to make. No big deal, really.

Unless he gets elected or gets these mistakes codified into the Democratic Platform.

I have the NGK tr6 plugs in the car already, I think they are atleast one heat range cooler. I have a tuner I have been working with and he is working on the tune for me. I will use that until I can get on the dyno.
Thanks for the tips
