Question Paxton or Vortech Supercharger. Which brand is better brand?

Hey guys havent chatted here for awhile just wondering which brand of superchargers is better and which give more pulley size changes for added boost later on something that can grow with the car? of course this wont be going on the car untill i get the afr 185's on it and tuned for those.

It is almost a matter of personal preference as a matter of fact both of the companies are in bed with one another. If I had the cash I would go with procharger it comes with an intercooler and a predator programmer to plug and play with minimal tuning if any at all.

Vortech By far. warranty is an important consideration, along with good customer service and tech support.....

The Paxton has a 3 yr warrantee and the only difference between Vortech and Paxton is that the Vortech uses a water to air charge cooler and the Paxton uses a air to air. My Preditor lost the tune last week and Vortech promply sent me a copy of my tune within a few minutes (they installed the Paxton in Oxnard Ca.). I have never talked to a Paxton rep because Vortech own's Paxton and there are only Vortech people now. My intercooler is good for 900 hp so I have only the limits of my S197 to worry about. Time for forged pistons and rods.

No track times yet. Saving money for bigger tires and wheels so I can get good launch.

neither. ati procharger is the way to go. the units are self contained. you dont have to run an oil line to your oil pan. which means that if your engine craps out and loses oil pressure, at least you still have your self lubricating blower. if you lose oil with a paxton or vortech, kiss it goodbye.

Like everything else theres more than one company who builds them. Thats like asking what year mustang is best or who has the best tv service. Who has the best supercharger for the particular engine would probally be a better question. Like who makes one for the I-6 im getting.

I Got A Paxton 1000, It's 5-6 Boost, It Work Good, But Some Times Some Oil Comes Out Of It, I Don't Know If That Is Normal But Other Than That It Runs Good.
