Exclamation Novi 1000 Supercharger Pulley Size Needed

Have a customers car with a 3 5/8"(?)blower pulley & a 7.125" crank pulley & is seeing 5#'s boost & need to get 8-9#'s out of it.I have called Paxton 4(!)times w/h no answer or calls back after 3 days of trying.I also did a search w/h no luck in the specifics.Any info out there?

Was both of those pulley's in his kit? Is this a fresh install or has be been running 5lbs and wants more/ or a sudden decrease to 5lbs from 9?

I looked up some information on that kit, the Novi 1000 is designed to make 5-6psi for the 5.0 Kit. Now, ofcourse I am not looking at the car or the particular installation, but possibly thats all its designed to make. It also incorporates a compresser bypass valve. I am not an expert on the supercharger, but if that valve acts similar to a wastegate, if the pully has been changed, it could just be bleeding off the extra pressure and not developing over 5psi?

Is any of this of any help?

Kyle,thanks for the info,its a car the guy just bought a month or to ago.Would you believe I didn't even check for a bypass valve!?! I'm used to ALWAYS having a bypass & keep forgetting these little boost Paxton's don't have one.Anybody that would build a blower without a bypass is crazy,not to mention their tech service is AWFUL!! Thanks for reminding me about the bypass! I found out that I need an 8" crank pulley to get around 10#'s.

I think he is going to need a larger compressor on that stinking thing. That Novi1000 is only designed to go to 6psi on a 5.0. I guess you never know until you try, but when you over work a blower and it gets out of its efficeient operating range.... it just heats the air more!
