Being a successful Powerdyne owner (might be on of the few ) I feel I can add some info on the Powerdyne. The standard BD-11A Powerdyne is driven via an internal belt and some people have had and continue to have problems with it breaking. I had no problems with mine in the 6000miles I drove it. I ran both 6 and ~8lb set-up with it. What one has to understand is the BD-11A is an entry level 800cfm blower with limited growth potential. IMO, if you decide you want a Powerdyne, I would recommend the new gear driven XB-1. It's supposedly capable of 1200cfm and 18psi. I just put mine on and hit 427rwhp417rwtq with the combo in my sig. The power was not about to fall off at the top, just started running out of fuel. The car still needs some tuning with the new set-up so there is definitely more in it.
My big point is this, go with something you can grow with. The S-trim, P1SC, NOVI 2000, and even XB-1 blowers can grow with your need for boost and power. The BD-11A cannot. Just my 2 cents Good luck.

Are you asking about the XB-1? If so, I bought it from ProficientPerformance.com. They have the best prices on Powerdynes. If you end up buying a BD-11A, you might get a really good price on a kit from a Ford Motorsport dealer. I bought my orginial 6lb kit for my 95 GT for $1800 brand new. My XB-1 head unit cost $1800 alone

Well guys I actually have been looking seriously at Prochargers 14lbs system, mainly because its intercooled and claims to bolt on 85% of your horsepower, right now I'm putting about 305rwhp on the ground so I'm very excited!! Another thing,is there anything I should do to "prepare" my muscle mustang for the boost or is everything I need in the kit??
I have a friend who has an ati procharger with the 3core intercooler and he is running about 14-16psi of boost and from that and 3.73 gears and h-pipe and exhaust he dynoed at 305rwhp...
305, thats it?? that is terrible for an aspirated 5.0 tell your friend he needs to go back to the dyno for some tuning

kenne bell for street. and produces good power for strip. but if your leaning towards strip, ati or vortech. i also hear bad things from powerdyne. but in the end i would go turbocharged over super.

Like I said in my previous post, Powerdyne's are good and bad. I don't see many bad things with the gear driven Powerdyne though. The turbo thing always gets thrown in these discussions. Usually worth hearing from those who have gone from sc to turbo or at least have a power adder. No doubt turbo's make great power and especially torque and it will most likely be my next power adder way down the road but IMHO, the supercharger kits available for our cars are relatively inexpensive, available, and made to somewhat bolt-on and go (I use that statement loosely). I guarantee a supercharger can and will put a great big smile on your face.
