Well if you listen to a lot of the people who grew up in the muscle car era, any power adder is cheating...
My mother constantly complains that nitrous and blowers are cheating.. of course she only raced stock vs. stock... and her 67 442 was 2nd only to the 71 hemi cuda around town.

And a blower does? It has the same theory for making horsepower.

I did the same thing. You can't see any of my N.O.S. kit. I even have the bottle behind my speaker box in the trunk covered up. So no one see's it. I put the switch in my center console glove box.

MM&FF did a comparison between the 2003 cobra and the 2002 SS, do you guys think it is far that the cobra has a eaton super charger?? Would you consider the cobra to be "cheating"??

ok, the 2003 cobra finally got a supercharger but, they have 69 extra cubic inches. it is about time ford gave us a little something to fight back with. i think ford needs to put the 5.4 DOHC in our GT's so that we would have a little more to work with then we could whip them with a stocker. (2000 COBRA R spec 5.4 to make sure you do right, all motor)

Nitrous Oxide is a chemical compound used to boost a vehicle's performance. I see it as a "cheat" because it's not an actual mechanical component that's increase engine performance.

Here's an analogy: Imagine two weight lifters in a competition. One has used natural vitamens, exercise etc. to achieve his results. Whereas the other one has used steroids. Now is it fair that the athelete on steroids is in competition with the athelete that built himself up through hard work? Of course not. Mr. Steroids has cheated.

N2O is steroids for a vehicle. And it's obvious from those who are hiding their NOS kits that they feel they are doing something unfair.

If your friend upgraded his exhast system he's got vette horsepower.
Got a friend who works at G.M. dealer service dept.- says detuned
through exhast, so F-body whouldnt blow away high dollar car.
as far as what you need to dust him, alot of high dollar parts- heads, blower whould be a start. A Firebird and a little cash and you got a wicked fast G.M.

My friends car can take a vette with ease. They only made 150 of these cars. When he first bought it got stolen and the people who had stole it just beat the living **it out of it. He rebuilt the entire engine and returned it completely back to showroom condition.It is a very very nice car. But for the NOS, i do not think it is cheating at all. NOS is a 500 dollar power adder.NOS is great for someone who races at the strip or at the street just once and a while. Someone with a supercharger is someone who likes to go out and have some fun. I thought racing was supposed to be who can cross the line the fastest...
