I finally saved enough money to get the procharger and I ordered it yesturday from VMP tuning minus the Xcal 2 tuner. They have a better deal than RPM. You get more. I cant wait. If some of you remember I kept you updated with a list of the mods Ive done to the car over time and my plans to add a procharger. I have a 2000 V6 auto. I also asked questions about what level of boost to go with. I went for the 11psi pulley.
According to VMP its going to take two weeks for the order while they send it to procharger to put the kit together. But they will send me the parts they already have. So Im quessing just have to wait on ATI to send me the blower, pulley, pipes, intercooler etc. Their stuff basically. I kinda hate that. I thought VMP stocked it and I would get it in a week. Cant wait. Long time no see guys.

No. You dont necessarily have to have one. Although it would be good to have, like forged internals are. Are you trying to rain on my parade?
No, it's just cheap insurance.
Just don't start doing 3000 RPM clutch drops!

You could have ASP or someone make a pulley for either the crank (& keep the weight savings) or the ProCharger & keep your motoblues

Yeah I have thought about that. Having to remove the Motoblue pulleys and put the stock one back was one of the reasons I didnt want to go with procharger. But like you mentioned I thought of that but dont want to go through the trouble or the extra expense.
And if anything were to go wrong with the SC, procharger would point fingers and say the pulleys are incorrect (even though they would of been designed to run with the unit). I will just put the stock ones back on. If there are any problems they would blame the pulleys and probably deny/void the warranty and I wouldnt get any service.

part swapping before service is the unspoken rule, man -but you didn't hear it from me . . .
