Default Cold air induction for my 1992 GT

I am looking into a CAI for my 1992 GT and was wondering if you guys could guide me in the right direction. I've heard MAC is the way to go and i have also heard good things about JLT. I want the best bang for my buck, so any help from you all out there would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just do not go with a fender well kit they will give u nothing but air fuel issues esp if u go with a big meter like pro m, C@L or others.

I have the MAC fenderwell style and didn't have a problem other than fitment, it had to be slightly trimmed.

I have a 76mm C&L MAF Meter with their cold air tube. I spoke with C&L recently. C&L MAF Meters are designed to work with the factory air box. They found that there where no gains by using a conical filter with their set up.The air turbulance from the fan when you have a conical filter in the engine bay, will effect the way the meter reads and also cause low rpm driveability issues. My engine would would buck at low rpms with my conical filter in the engine bay. I bought a stock air box and a K&N filter for it and the car has never ran better. Also , a filter in the engine bay is sucking in all the heat from the engine instead of the cool air from the fender wall. This robs horse power, and if your running advanced timing , all that heat can promote detonation. There is nothing good about a filter in the engine bay. In fact, the stock air box is actually a cold air intake, and a very good one for that matter. I've done alot of research on this topic.
Basically, buy a cold air tube, meter of choice, and stick with your factory air box with a K&N filter. I like my C&L cast cold air tube. It has some good thickness to it, so it doesn't heat up inside. Link below.

Also , don't waste your money on the ram air intakes.
I hope this helps

Thanks for all the info. I definitely have a few things to look at now before purchasing anything. Just for the record though, has anyone heard anything positive about JLT cold air systems??
