I'd go with a 351 based stroker, you can get them in 383, 393, 408, 410, 418, 427, all the way to 454. Go with a good forged assembly, a set of the best heads you can afford like some AFR 205's, TFS High Ports, Dart Pro 1 210's, and good intake like an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap for a street engine, or if you want more power, a Victor Jr intake, a good carb like a Holley 750, Speed Demon 750, even an Edelbrock 750. A good ignition system like a full MSD would be good, and then a set of long tubes. Then call Comp Cams or whoever you like for a custom cam because blower engines can get finicky and run better if the cam is matched to the rest of the engine. Before you add a blower, you must have a good engine to put it on. If you want to go the blower route, go no higher than 9:1 compression with that Novi 1200. If you go with the 2200, lower the comp ratio to 8:1 to get an added measure if insurance to make sure it doesn't detonate. The engine I spec'd out would cost between $4500-$5500 depending on your vendor of choice and if you do the assembly yourself. That's before the Paxton. You can find the 1200 pretty cheap now so just do some skillful shopping around the closer you get to doing this plan.
