Default 1992 GT chirps until clutch is engaged

A week or so ago i heard a chirping noise coming from near my intake manifold. I cleaned my MAF and all my hoses and it seemed to go away....until today. The problem is, it was never from that area. The chirping occurs sometimes at idle, but more so while i am in gear and driving. If i press on the clutch pedal lightly without actually engaging the clutch it will do away. As soon as my foot comes off the clutch the chirping starts again. What is going on?? Is it time for a new clutch?? if so, any reccomendations on a good stage 2 clutch??

It is your throw out baring. If the clutch engages soon after releasing from the floor then the clutch disk is still good, but it doesnt grab until the pedal is all the way out then its time for a new one. My car is doing the exact same thing right now, and my clutch still hods fine, but since the tranny has to be pulled then it is more cost affective to replace the clutch at the same time.

The clutch engages just fine, and still feels really strong. Its just the chirping noise itself that has me worried about the possibilities. Is your car chirping as well?? If so, will it go away if you barely press the clutch??

Yes I have the same symptoms, and the same problem. The throw out baring is chirping. You can still drive it like this, it will just bug the crap out of you. And you do not have to replace the clutch, just the t/o baring. It will just save money down the road by replacing the clutch now while the tranny is all apart.
