for all you considering a centri s/c, check out the tech article at superchargersonline.com. comparison of procharger and vortech. then u can make up ur mind. seems the vortech fares better than the procharger.
go to www.superchargersonline.com and check the tech articles, i think its the second one. they have info. dont kno if they got graphs but they talking a 72 efficency rating for the vortech and a 59 for the procharger. and 25% less power than the vortech. independant test.
those are very provocative numbers... great post nowhereman!

Great info. Especially since I've been researching the prochargers extensively and on paper they look like monsters. I guess you would be partial to your own product huh. It was also interesting that although it was on a different website, that article was produced by the Vortech company.
If i went centri.. id go Procharger.. if u want insane power down the road.. if u want a lil jump in hp.. get the base 500hp vortech.. non i/c for like 4200 bucks..

I had a p600b procharger. With 10lbs of boost I saw 500 rwhp. I switched to a novi with @20lbs of boost now. For a street car that you want the creature comforts----AC--- I would go with the Procharger The P600b sounds awesome.
If you want more power than 500 you need to step it up to a better block/internals/blower
I have been tossing the idea around of putting a smaller SC on the car after I rebuild the engine, but was having a hard time decided what to get. I liked the idea of the Novi with the self contained oil resivoir so you don't have to tap the oil pan.
I like the fact that procharger seems to put a intercooler with most of there SC too. Hmmm, decisions, decisions....
I really don't want a crazy amount of boost, maybe only about 8psi, I want the car to still be very streetable. What you guys think would be a good choice for something like that?
I'm kinda new to the whole SC scene.

Interesting, I think I'm leaning more towards Vortech now. I wish Whipple made one for the 2v's because I'm not far from the warehouse (down the street) and if I had any problems, then they would be willing to help me out and it's not far for a cry of help lol.

You can get a Vortech V-1 S/C Trim Supercharger, if you dont want
to get too crazy with boost amounts. It has 5-6 lbs of boost standard and can easily be upgraded as high as 20 lbs (according to Vortechs web site) Although you have to tap the oil pan, its not that hard to do (well it might be if someone had NO mechanical skills
at all!)
im strapped for choices on the blower scene.i wanted the kb but out in vegas we see 120 durring summer and the procharger cost to damn much so its a vortech v2sq for me.ide rather have the boost come in at low rpms.i called kb and they told me not to buy their kit buy a vortech,i was a tad shocked to get that from them.
