Big differences between your heads and his. Yours are the non PI versions.
To use nitrous that much on practically any engine will eventually cause damage. Why's he using it that much? If he wants power for an extended period of time he needs to get a blower, he'll wind up spending more on constant nitrous refills. You can use nitrous on a stock 96 engine but be careful with it, don't get greedy, and make sure you have the tune right. That's the real time that nitrous kills an engine, when the tune is wrong or the owner gets greedy. It'll be ok for an occasional blast but not twice a day like your bro. He's going to blow the gaskets out of it soon at that rate.

Hey, i dont know much about the internals of a 4.6, but the little 3.8l in my camaro handles a 125hp shot fine. The best place probably to find out is to call one of the nitrous companies, they can give you the best suggestion for the max shot to put to the car. If its set up right then theres no need to worry about melt downs or anything, ive burned over 10-20lb bottles in the past year and my little car is still truckin on.
