Most probably yes.
Just make sure the car is tuned right, most of the time thats what kills pistons/engines.

I've never delt with nitrous before. So what do I have to do. I know run colder plugs and retard timing. Do I also have to have the engine dyno tuned? I will also be running a jacob's electronics nitrous safety comp.

Thanks

Mike

Run a second fuel line and fuel pump for the nitous. You don't want low fuel peressure

I'm running an external pump that flows 255 lph.

I would not run it on Hyper's. but if you do the above suggestions are good. Acouple of degrees per 50 horse, depending on your compression ratio look at the specific fuel you should run, and install a Hobbs in series with the pump. At that level your plugs should be OK, or maybe one step colder.

And your jet size for the nitrous is 2 steps smaller than the one that put a hole in your piston.

The compression is 10.4:1. I heard high compression worked will with nitrous.

The relationship of boost to compression isn't the same as nitrous to compression...

The nitrous, for one, will be acting as a cooling agent for the cylinder, unlike hot, compressed air would. That's why you can run nitrous on any motor of any compression...the only heat that you're worrying about is the heat inside the cylinder that's dictated by your current timing.

With those pistons...i've heard ugly stories about hyper pistons in general. I'm not trying to freak you out, but rather, just be a little on the safe side with the tuneup...take an extra degree or two out, or fatten up the fuel side.

A good dynotune would also be a good investment, just for peace of mind, but remember, never set a tuneup for 'kill' on the dyno...weather patterns chance, pistons burn....
