Question intake / kenne bell combo questions

Hey guys I've a question about my options with the Kenne Bell suppercharger. I am about to purchase the Kenne Bell and I am wondering if the "explorer intake" base will work as it's cheaper than a "cobra" or GT40 base. I don't know anybody who owns one for me to check it out, so any help would be appreciated. THANKS

There is no placement for ACT sensor in number 5 runner used in 86 through 93 Mustangs in this location. It can be drilled/threaded.

Another option is the Holley Systemax lower intake part # 300-73S which sells for $250 and has the ACT and EGR holes in it.

and if you get the KB make sure you spend the extra bucks for the flowzilla intake tube. its just not worth it not to. night and day differance from the original to the flowzilla inlet tubes.

tmos the Holley intake won't work with a KB they only work with a stock intake or a Cobra\GT40 with work a Explorer. THe cobra works with the flowzilla. No Flame just fact.

The 300-73S is not the Systemax 2, It's the Systemax 1 which is a direct replacement for the stocker - same size runners - take a look at the pic.

Weren't you thinking of the Systemax 2 intake?

You might want to consult the Kenne Bell techs directly. When I looked at the systems and I spoke with the techs, they specifically said that only stock or GT40/Cobra bases would work. I'd ask a tech specifically if the Explorer base will work or if the specified Holley base would work and go from there. I think the Explorer base sounds like the cheapest route though and modifying it if necessary.
