Hello all need some help with supercharged mustang. My father inlaw just got a 1990 mustang gt x trooper car. Anyway when you get to about 3000/3500 rpm thing cuts out bad. The motor is mostly stock 30lb injecters cold air intake thats about all. It has a boost gauge shows about 10/12lbs of boost about the time it cuts up. Any info would be helpful Thanks

Blowing out spark. Change the Gap to .032 if it has a spark box(MSD Etc.) or .028 without a ignition box.

Could be a bad throttle postion sensor. Hook up a volt meter to the lead with key on and open and it slowly and watch for a dead spot where voltage drops off.

If you have an aftermarket ignition (MSD, Accel, etc.) try bypassing it.

had the same problem with my 98 cobra but at 5500 rpm

changed to NGK TR6 plugs and a smaller gap . fixed it
