Default Need advice on BBK Cold Air Intake

I installed it but the bolt that goes into the fender wall to hold the plate in place is off about 1/2 inch! Any suggestions on that. I was disgusted. By the way Im not a mechanic so feel free to bash me all you want if it is something simple I am doing wrong. Thx.

You can loosen everything back up and see if you can manuever things around to make things line up. Or you can get it as close as possible, then drill out or extend the hole so it'll make it. But it usually needs a little wrestling to get it in the right spot.

I installed a bbk cai about a month ago and had no problem. I installed the shield onto the fender before I connected it to the bolt near the radiator. As i recall, there was a little more play in the alignment near the radiator than the fender.
