Default 1994 5.0 Lower Intake Manifold

I just recently found out I have an intake leak on my lower manifold gasket, but I was planning on swapping out the manifold anyway. From what I've heard, the undersized intake manifold is the main reason the 5.0 gets the "5.slow" nickname. Would I be wasting my money if I simply installed a new lower intake manifold, or would I get a power gain out of it? What I'm loooking at is a Trickflow lower intake found here: Trick Flow EFI Intake Manifolds: TFS-515L0001 - summitracing.com
Any input would be appreciated.

All engines are air pumps....if you only change the intake and the rest of your motor is still stock....I dont think you will get much out of it. Stock 94 castings are quite....restrictive. ( I have a 95, we are in the same boat).

Its my opinion that to get some horses out of it ( or any engine) you need to improve air flow from the air cleaner all the way to the tailpipe, or at least to the end of the headers.

-induction, upper, lower, heads, headers....that combo will make it go good

just my 2cents

Hmm ya, I should've listed my mods, my bad.

BBK Cold air
Shorty headers
H-pipe/catback 3" pipes
MSD Ignition
Underdrive pulleys
3.73 gears (possibly 4.10's, not sure, the last owner did that)
BBK fuel pressure regulator

That lower will not work with your stock upper. You need both.

You'll lose torque by putting on a better flowing manifold and stock heads.

The stock manifold is where a lot of tq comes from. It is junk when combined with aftermarket heads.

Kill numerous birds with one stone and invest in this.
